It’s vital to remember that one of the deadliest earthquakes in decades recently struck Morocco. Over 2,000 people have died as a result of the earthquake, according to the Moroccan Interior Ministry, while an additional 1,500 people have suffered severe injuries. The epicenter of the 6.8-magnitude earthquake was located about 72 kilometers (45 miles) southwest of Marrakech.
